“Bridge the digital divide” means to reduce or eliminate the gap in access to digital technologies between those who have access and those who do not. This goal applies to “digitally disadvantaged sections in the society,” which refers to groups of people who lack access to these technologies due to socio-economic factors or geographic location. Bridging the digital divide involves providing equal access to digital technologies for all members of society.

The goal will involve collaborating with like-minded public and private sector partners to design, implement and oversee specific programs. Progress will be tracked to ensure that these goals are being met. By becoming a national leader, it is hoped that significant improvements can be made in the literacy rates and access to healthcare.
